I have always been into deals. There is nothing like the satisfaction of acquiring things at a great price, it feels almost sinful at times. Someone told me about an exclusive “clothing thrift shop” that catered to the rich of Manhattan, and I was able to outfit myself with beautiful suits for a new job I was starting, all for a mere $60. But when I had my triplets, and was going through a half a diaper bag a day, it was time to get serious about my hobby. I started clipping coupons, getting all my clothing used from the triplet group I belonged to, and bought everything I needed used, at great prices. I remember the time that I bought 20 boxes of frozen pretzels and Shoprite had to pay me a penny for each box I bought!! My children started growing up and we sent them to private school. We had a wonderful friend that would invite us to his timeshare every year for a few days and that was our vacation for the year. Sometimes, my husband and I would go away for a few days alone together to recharge. Three and a half years ago we moved to Israel. At the time, the children were nine years old. Since our family was mainly living in the United States we would have to figure out a way of being able to visit them without spending alot. About a year ago, I started doing some research on the internet on how to travel for free, with miles from credit card sign up bonuses. I became hooked and couldn't get enough! I started accruing lots of miles wherby having enough for my family to visit the United States this upcoming summer. We will be able to celebrate the boy's bar mitzvah with our family and friends, some of whom the kids have not seen in 4 years! Friends and family started hearing about my "hobby", (which I consider to be like a part time job) and were amazed at what I was doing and asked if they could do the same. That is where this blog comes in, I decided to start blogging about the deals I was finding, since most people can't be bothered doing the research. Well, I love looking for deals and I would be happy to take you along my journey. I will search the web for the best updated deals in travel, credit cards, shopping and more. Some of these ideas won’t be my own. They will be a compilation of the best deals and tips for saving money from many websites, all found concisely on my blog, bringing them to your doorstep. I will give you simple step by step instructions on redeeming these deals so that you can take full advantage of them. You don't need to be a miles and points maven either, to be able to take advantage of the free airmiles I publicize on my blog. I know that all the frequent flyer lingo can get daunting, so I will make it as simple as possible. If I can do it, so can you! Lets go!
